This course is designed to increase the student’s level of knowledge, skills, attitude and values towards the individual and family in a community setting. Throughout the course, the student can present the individual and the family with systematic nursing care when the nursing process is applied and the student’s role as care provider is performed.

This course deals with concepts, principles, theories and techniques in the provision of basic care in terms of health promotion, disease prevention, restoration and maintenance and rehabilitation at the individual and family level. It includes the study of the Philippine Health care Delivery System, national health situation and global context of public health. The learners are expected to provide safe, appropriate and holistic nursing care to individual and family as clients in community settings utilizing the nursing process

This course deals with the study of food in relation to health and illness. It covers nutrients and other substances and their action, interaction and balance in relation to health and diseases and the process by which the human body to ingest, digest, absorbs, transports, utilizes and excrete, food substances. It also focuses on the therapeutic and food service aspects and delivery of the nutritional services in the hospitals and other healthcare institutions. The learners are expected to develop the competencies in appropriate meal planning and education of a given client.

  

The course deals with the application of concepts, principles, and techniques of safe nursing care to well mothers, child and adolescents, and utilizing the evidence-based practice and nursing process. The students are expected to demonstrate safe, effective and appropriate nursing care to a healthy mother and child in varied settings.



It deals with the principles and techniques of nursing care management of sick clients across the lifespan with emphasis on the adult and older person with alteration/problems in cellular aberration, acute biologic crisis, including emergency and disaster nursing and IV Therapy.

This course focuses on the care of population, ­­­­­nursing interventions/strategies for the prevention and/or management of behavioral problems of children arising from parent-child relationships.

This course introduces the essential and in-depth concepts needed for the understanding of the human body and helps students place information in a meaningful context, develop their problem-solving skills, and prepare for a career in a medical or allied health field. Discussion of diseases and dysfunctions are also included to enhance and reinforce understanding of normal human structure and function. Lastly, this online course shall give emphasis on the understanding of homeostasis and how the body is affected when it is manifest clinical aberrations and malfunctions.
